Try as he might, Donald Trump is not going to be able to tackle China’s manufacturing dominance.

The benefits of manufacturing in China now extend far beyond the country’s relatively cheap labour force. The Chinese state has transformed the country into a specialised hub for manufacturing, and the networks and infrastructure that underpin this specialisation could not be replicated elsewhere overnight.
